building your email list has to be your top priority.

Email marketing is the most direct way to communicate and
engage with your subscribers. If you are planning to sell
something online, direct email marketing is usually the main
money maker. But even if you do have a big email list of
thousands of subscribers,what happens when nobody opens your
emails, clicks on your offers or buys from you? These issues
are widespread in the online marketing industry with marketers
who are building their email marketing lists.

The following 3 steps will help you to improve your email
marketing.

1. Only Target Customers That Want To Buy

Firstly are your leads coming from a good source? Regardless
of how many subscribers you have on your list, there're no
use if they have no intention of ever buying from you.

A popular email list building strategy was via solo ads. But
now there are hundreds of solo ad sellers in the internet
marketing industry who are passing around the same group of
people from list to list.

Don't get me wrong, solo ads still do work, but you must do
your homework before buying the mailing. Look for list owners
who carefully choose what they send to their list and make
sure it's someone who actually emails value and not just
blasts out rubbish offers all the time.

2. Offer Your Subscribers Something of Value

What do you provide in exchange for somebody's email address?
Does it offer an answer or solution to a problem that your
target audience wants to solve? Does it demonstrate your
expertise, credibility, and value? If you promise the world
but deliver rubbish, you'll lose subscriber interest very
quickly.

If you've got the first and second points wrong, you'll never
get to the third as will have lost them already and most
likely for good.

3. Have A Relationship With Your List

if you send regular emails with useful information, the
subscribers on your list will get to know, like and trust
you. Good email marketing examples include sending updates
about your business or your life, and letting them see you
as a regular person. Share videos or posts you think may be
useful to them, even if they are not yours.

If you just try and start selling from the first email people
will start unsubscribing from your list and you'll sell
nothing. By sending valuable information your subscribers
will eventually start to look forward to your emails, trust
your advice, and then they will be more inclined to buy from
you when you recommend a product or service.
