     3 Steps To Getting Started As An Affiliate Marketer<br />

One very simple business model is affiliate marketing. Simply <br />
put you get paid to do something for an affiliate merchant.<br />
<br />
The three basic ways you can make money as an affiliate <br />
marketer is to get the click, get the lead, or get the sale. <br />
Most affiliate marketers combine all three to earn anywhere <br />
from a part-time income to a 7 figure income.<br />
<br />
Affiliate marketing is a mutually beneficial business <br />
partnership. The Internet is perfect for this. Affiliate <br />
marketers sit in front of their computer and promote affiliate <br />
offers for the merchant online.<br />
<br />
The merchant comes out very well in this, because until the <br />
action is completed by the affiliate merchant, they have no <br />
financial exposure. The affiliate wins because they do not <br />
need their own product, marketing materials, or upfront money <br />
to start their own business.<br />
<br />
So what exactly are the three steps to getting started in <br />
affiliate marketing?<br />
<br />
1. Think about the type of product you would like to promote. <br />
When you first get started you have an opportunity to start <br />
a home business in a niche that you have an interest in.<br />
<br />
Many people join affiliate programs based on this interest. <br />
It might be something that you are an expert at, or are <br />
passionate about. Some marketers have taken a hobby and turned <br />
it into an Internet business using affiliate marketing.<br />
<br />
2. Find good affiliate products you can promote. The fastest <br />
way to do this is to join an affiliate network. When you do <br />
this you are given one ID number to promote multiple products <br />
with.<br />
<br />
ClickBank and Commissions Junction are 2 of the big affiliate <br />
networks. To get paid by the click Google Adsense is another <br />
affiliate program you should join.<br />
<br />
3. Learning how to promote your affiliate products is the last <br />
step. Many people start by promoting the affiliate website <br />
provided for them.<br />
<br />
Often times the affiliate merchant will give you advertising <br />
materials such as graphics, banners, text link ads, and so on. <br />
The hard part is to learn how to promote these and generate <br />
enough traffic that you can begin to earn money.<br />
<br />
There are shortcuts to making money with this business model. <br />
Some of these include building an email list you can market <br />
to. Other things that work well are to set up your own <br />
pre-sell web pages or review articles and market them.<br />
<br />
What you are trying to do is warm your prospect up before <br />
passing them through to your affiliate sales page. You can <br />
learn about theses strategies by joining an affiliate <br />
marketing membership training site or in Internet marketing <br />
discussion forums.<br />
<br />
These are the three steps to getting started as an affiliate <br />
marketer. Because it is so easy to get started with anyone <br />
can do it.<br />
