Tell me, would you get on a bus, train, or aeroplane <br />
without first checking if it is going to the destination <br />
you had in mind?<br />
<br />
Yet every day, 95% of ordinary, otherwise intelligent,<br />
people do just that!<br />
<br />
What do I mean by that?  Well, let's take a fly-on-the-wall <br />
look at Mr. Joe B. Average buying a aeroplane ticket:<br />
<br />
     Travel Agent: Good Morning.  Where would you like to<br />
     fly to?<br />
<br />
     Joe: Well, I don't want to be here.  I'd like to be<br />
     someplace better.<br />
<br />
     T.A.  Where did you have in mind, sir?<br />
<br />
     Joe: Don't know, really, just so long as it is better<br />
     than here. [Casts his eyes around and spots a poster on<br />
     the wall]  How about China?  That sounds nice.<br />
<br />
     T.A. China?  Okay, sir, which city in China?<br />
<br />
     Joe: Well, if I just went to China, I could figure it<br />
     out then, couldn't I?<br />
<br />
     T.A.  Well, it's a very large place, sir.  I know, I<br />
     could do you a ticket for tomorrow, to Shanghai, for<br />
     $900.  Would that do, sir?<br />
<br />
     Joe: Hmm.  It's a bit expensive.  Can't I get there for<br />
     free?  What about India instead? [Spots a bus pulling<br />
     up outside] Wait a minute... How about I just get on<br />
     that bus, there?  It looks like a nice bus, and it<br />
     might take me where I want to go...<br />
<br />
And so on...<br />
<br />
Does that sound ludicrous?  Can't imagine anyone, never mind <br />
95% of people doing that?<br />
<br />
Yet I bet you have done it yourself (I know I have!) - and<br />
most likely you still do.<br />
<br />
I am talking about LIFE of course.  You see, the vast<br />
majority of people have no clear idea of what they want from <br />
life, when they want it, how they will get it, or what they <br />
are prepared to sacrifice to get it.<br />
<br />
And so most people just get on the nearest bus (read job, <br />
training course, marriage, lifestyle) and hope that, somehow, <br />
it will take them towards their dreams.  They don't even <br />
ook at the front of the bus to see where it is going!<br />
<br />
And then they wonder why they end up in Dead-End Lane???<br />
<br />
Which bus are you on?  Is it going where you want it to go? <br />
Do you even know where you want to go?  Or do you just have <br />
some vague notion of "escaping this dead-end job" and <br />
becoming "rich and free"?<br />
<br />
It's not hard to achieve your dreams.  Plenty of ordinary <br />
people, just like you and me, do it.  You can do it too. <br />
All it takes is to follow some very simple steps.  I call<br />
them the 7 Steps to Freedom.<br />
<br />
Answering those questions I just put to you is the first <br />
(and probably the biggest) step of them all.<br />
<br />
So, you now have a choice: will you go back to your comfy<br />
sofa and switch on the TV, or will you take ACTION and make <br />
your dreams come true?  Get out a pen and some paper and <br />
write down all your dreams and aspirations.  Do it, now.<br />

When you have done that, then we can talk about Step Two...<br />
