Hi ,<br />
<br />
You may remember a few months ago, I reviewed member's site <br />
called Google Profit. Since then I have managed to contact <br />
the owner, Corey Harris for an interview about his site. <br />
Corey has done fantastically on Google Adwords and Adsense. <br />
He has earned thousands of dollars himself, and has a loyal <br />
following of members who have made money from the techniques <br />
they learnt to cash in on Google. <br />

Corey published his methods and the secrets he’s learnt in <br />
his site at Google Profit. I grilled him on what he learnt <br />
and how he had got to his current level of great success! <br />

Here is a transcript of my interview with Corey:  <br />

Tom: Hi Corey, thanks for your time today. <br />
<br />
Corey: Hey Tom, no problem …<br />
<br />
Tom: Now Corey, tell me how your site came about?<br />
<br />
Corey: Well, I used to work for a company that was involved <br />
in online affiliate marketing in the very early days, when <br />
the internet was just starting to blossom. This was even <br />
before Google was that big. We used to use the old model <br />
of building up your site traffic and then making money off <br />
your affiliate advertising. After a few years of learning <br />
the ropes, I figured I needed a challenge, so I left to go <br />
it alone. <br />
<br />
Tom: What did you do then?<br />
<br />
Corey: I just stayed at home and basically I subscribed to <br />
every affiliate program I could fine, I was spending hours <br />
every week, just finding every program I could. I needed <br />
to find the best products that would sell. Basically, I <br />
was just testing out every available offer. I thought that <br />
I just needed to find the products people were buying.<br />
<br />
Tom: Corey, so you must have had a pretty good sight then <br />
to be working for yourself, and just making money off <br />
affiliate traffic?<br />
<br />
Corey: Well, Tom actually that had been my biggest problem. <br />
What I didn't realize was how hard it was to make money on <br />
affiliate programs- without a huge amount of site traffic. <br />
I had a small content site, some newsletters and a small <br />
mailing list. But they were not enough. I was losing money. <br />
There was also a vicious circle- in that I needed content <br />
for traffic, and that just cost me more money. <br />
 <br />
Tom: I hear you there Corey, keeping a site flowing, with <br />
fresh content is so expensive, and if you let it slip, <br />
you lose users fast.<br />
<br />
Corey: I was also speaking to everyone I knew, to see if <br />
they had a product I could market for them. I then thought <br />
that Bricks and Mortar was the way to go- own the product <br />
that is selling fast online. Like those guys who owned the <br />
Mini-RC cars, they were laughing all the way to the bank.<br />
 <br />
Tom: Did you find anything?<br />
<br />
Corey: My research simply showed me that that was not the <br />
way to go, unless you have thousands and thousands of <br />
dollars to lay out on the set up! I knew that there were <br />
people out there though, who knew something I didn't! On <br />
an affiliate forum, I was in a chat, and one guy mentioned <br />
some words that changed my life! Google Adwords. I asked <br />
him what he was talking about, and he just casually told <br />
me about Google Adwords. <br />

Tom: And this is where it gets interesting?<br />
<br />
Corey: Exactly. I went to Google and read every detail about <br />
the program. And suddenly I realized the mistake I had been <br />
making. I signed up to Adwords, and started buying as much <br />
as I could get my hands on. Within weeks, I had turned my <br />
business around. I remember a calendar month later, I had <br />
like four check's from affiliate programs in the mail, and <br />
they were enough to live on… I had found the secret!<br />

Tom: What happened then?<br />
<br />
Corey: Well Tom. After about 4 months, I had finely tuned <br />
my system. I was experimenting, testing and just plain <br />
learning. Some you win, some you lose. But basically, <br />
I was making some serious loot. My brain was scrambling, <br />
I could not believe this was happening, I set about <br />
documenting what I was doing, and developed some tools to <br />
help me out, and sort of automate what I was doing from <br />
an admin point of view. These tools are now part of the <br />
program that I give to members to manage themselves. <br />
I also started speaking with others about what I was <br />
doing- Guys like Colin Fabig, and Rob Rawson. Anyway, <br />
I put all I learned into my site, as well as experiences <br />
from other experts who have made thousands on Google.  <br />

Tom: So it's a rags to riches story for you Corey?<br />
<br />
Corey: Well I don’t like to sound clichéd, but really, <br />
it has been working very well. I have money flowing <br />
into my bank account 24 hours a day, even while I’m <br />
sleeping. Anyway, it's all in my site, and I've just <br />
updated some of the content and added some new articles. <br />
There are a heap of bonuses for new users<br />

As I mentioned when I first reviewed Google Profit, I have <br />
subscribed to the site. At first, it may seem a little <br />
daunting with so much information, but I just followed <br />
the course through to the end, and I can vouch for it <br />
myself! The methods Corey has devised are great. They <br />
are simple to use and if you implement them, you will <br />
see a definite improvement in your affiliate marketing! <br />
If you are serious about getting more sales and making <br />
more money, you must be using Google, and Corey and the <br />
experts at The Search Engine Institute really know how <br />
it works.<br />
<br />
The $97 cost for Google Profit, is a small price to pay, <br />
for the potential huge profits. I have seen similar courses <br />
with half the content (and strategies which didn’t amount <br />
to anywhere near the expertise of Corey) sell for more than <br />
3 times this price. I think there is great value and I <br />
really suggest you check out the site for yourself.<br />

In a move that rocked the online world and left many<br />
Internet marketers shaking in their boots, the Federal<br />
Trade Commission (FTC) initiated a sweeping crackdown on<br />
what they termed "Internet Scammers" and "Deceptive<br />
Spammers."<br />
<br />
The FTC, along with state and federal officials, filed<br />
numerous criminal and civil law enforcement actions and<br />
froze the corporate and personal assets of some defendants.<br />
<br />
According to the FTC, they went after a wide array of<br />
deceptive schemes and illegal scams including auction<br />
fraud, illegal sale of controlled substances, bogus<br />
business opportunities, deceptive money-making scams,<br />
illegal advance-fee credit card offers, and identity theft.<br />
 <br />
In other words, Uncle Sam gave notice that people can no<br />
longer treat the Internet like the Wild, Wild West!<br />
<br />
I welcome this long overdue crackdown on Internet<br />
evildoers.<br />
<br />
For years, honest business owners suffered because Internet<br />
scammers caused consumer fear and reluctance to conduct<br />
business online.<br />
<br />
As the government cleans up the back alleys of the<br />
Internet, consumer confidence will rise and sales will<br />
increase.<br />
<br />
However, as with any crusade to bring about law and order,<br />
innocent businesses stand a real chance of getting caught<br />
in the crossfire.<br />
<br />
Let's face it, if you get named in a lawsuit by the<br />
government - even if you're innocent -you'll still lose a<br />
lot of time, energy, emotion, and money defending yourself.<br />
<br />
If you operate any business online, or plan to set one up,<br />
the following guidelines should help you avoid problems.<br />
<br />
** Always Tell The Truth<br />
<br />
Actually, this basic lesson from your Mom ranks the best<br />
way to avoid all kinds of trouble! "The truth shall set you<br />
free" ranks just as appropriate in the online world as in<br />
the offline world.<br />
<br />
In fact, in the light of recent events, the truth might<br />
actually keep you out of jail!<br />
<br />
<br />
** Avoid Outrageous Claims<br />
<br />
Don't make outrageous claims you can't substantiate.<br />
<br />
A big difference exists between good copywriting<br />
(salesmanship in print) and making claims that no sane<br />
person, or at least the average person, could ever achieve.<br />
<br />
It's one thing to tell people you can show them "how to get<br />
thousands of hits to their website." It's quite another to<br />
say you will "show them how to get 10,000 hits to their<br />
website by tomorrow and make $15,000 this weekend."<br />
<br />
** Turn the Tables<br />
<br />
Look at what your business promises and actually delivers<br />
from the standpoint of a consumer.<br />
<br />
Would you feel happy or sad once you did business with<br />
yourself?<br />
<br />
Would you feel like you got your money's worth, or would<br />
you feel like you'd been held up at gunpoint in the middle<br />
of the night in the mini-mart parking lot?<br />
<br />
Your gut answer to that question will go a long way toward<br />
keeping you out of trouble with the government.<br />
<br />
Sort of funny how the "Golden Rule" of "do unto others as<br />
you would have them do unto you" keeps cropping up in life<br />
as a way to consistently avoid trouble and heartache.<br />
